After being out-of-action for several months now, the popular jailbreak tweak “MobileTerminal” has recently received an update, and is now compatible with iOS 5-powered jailbroken iDevices.
Previously, it was possible to install MobileTerminal on an iOS 5 device, but users had to go through a five-step method in order to get the tweak up and running – it was tedious, to say the least. Now, the jailbreak tweak is fully compatible with iOS 5, meaning fans rocking even the latest Absinthe 2.0-powered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak can download MobileTerminal immediately upon “liberating” their iDevice, quickly and easily.
If you’re not familiar with MobileTerminal, this handy jailbreak tweak is kind of like a small-sized iOS version of OS X’s Terminal app, and allows users “to set file permissions and change passwords on [their] iOS device, or to SSH into remote systems,” as iDownloadBlog notes.
Check out the recently updated MobileTerminal in the Cydia Store now if you haven’t already, and remember – if you’ve yet to jailbreak your iDevice under iOS 5.1.1, head over to http://greenpoins0n.com for information plus download links for the latest version of Absinthe 2.0.
